Stage type: Hilly

What to expect: Another stage along the coast, this one could come down to the breakaway or a reduced sprint. The attackers will like all the small climbs on the menu. None is particularly challenging but altogether โ€“ andย including the uncategorized Monte Giove ascent at the end of the day โ€“ย they could bring the more versatile riders to the fore.

Fantasy favorites: This is the sort of stage where the Classics riders could thrive. The climbs aren’t even close to being hard enough to bring the real climbers to the fore but the sprinters may decide to let the break go and save energy for future opportunities. That makes this a bit of a dart-throw from a tipping perspective, but we like Jhonatan Narvรกez, Julian Alaphilippe, Filippo Ganna, Andrea Bagioli, and Michael Valgren as potential winners.
