Role: Bikepacking and gravel beat reporter

We are seeking a creative writer and reporter who wants to bring their passion for gravel riding, racing, and culture to a worldwide audience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify interesting storylines from across the bikepacking and gravel landscapes and bring those to our audience with a unique voice and accurate reporting
  • Manage and set direction for our small but growing bikepacking and gravel editorial team
  • Execute regular evaluation of content analytics to inform editorial direction
  • Review and edit all types of content for clarity, accuracy, and style
  • Provide unique, high-quality coverage of significant events.
  • Appear on podcasts and, occasionally, video

Experience and skills:

  • Strong writing skills with a distinctive voice
  • Deep understanding of bikepacking and gravel scenes and cultures
  • Extensive contacts within bikepacking and gravel scenes
  • Ability to sniff out untold stories
  • Strong grasp of English grammar and usage and an ability to produce clean copy
  • Comfortable using Adobe products (Photoshop, Lightroom)
  • Comfortable working with a global team across multiple timezones via tools like Slack
