I’m back! Generously invited to share a few of my favourite cycling products from 2025.
Looking back at my contribution from 2024 I can see that I let some recency bias creep into my choices. In 2025 I’ve ridden more than ever before and the products below have supported me impressively through all manner of conditions. In some cases they’re items I’ve returned to year after year. So they’re tried and true!
In no particular order (well, except for the first one):
Specialized Tarmac SL8
I hopped onto my Tarmac for the first time in January and, 12 000 kms later, it has changed my life. More accurately, it’s been a big part of changes in my life that have helped me become fitter, faster, more social and ultimately more aligned to the aspirational version I have of myself.

You can read more on the characteristics that I appreciate of this bike at the above link. Weight, stiffness, aero, compliance – these are all things I can happily obsess over but what really matters to me is how a bike makes me feel.
