Demi Vollering (SD Worx-Protime) continued to display her stage racing dominance, winning the final stage of Vuelta a Burgos and securing her third overall victory in a month. The Dutchwoman has already claimed both La Vuelta España Femenina and Itzulia Women this season.
Lucinda Brand (Lidl-Trek), who had been part of a late race breakaway, finished second on the stage 51 seconds behind Vollering.
Évita Muzic (FDJ-Suez) rode to third on the stage and took second overall, 1:28 behind Vollering over the four stages, and Karlijn Swinkels (UAE Team ADQ) finished third overall 1:59 behind her countrywoman.
- There were a few solo and duo attacks after the official start was given, but it wasn’t until 78 km to go that a larger move was made. The group of four included Swinkels, third overall, and was caught after just a few kilometres by SD Worx-Protime. It took another 48 km for a break to go – a move of two containing Ana Vitória Magalhāes (Bepink-Bongioanni) and Lucinda Brand (Lidl-Trek).
- The two were caught by Vollering on the long Category 1 ascent of Alto de Rozavientos with 16 km to go, leaving her main rival Muzic behind.
- Behind Vollering, Brand was able to hold off Muzic to ride to second on the stage, 51 seconds behind the winner. Muzic rode in for third 23 seconds later and secured her second overall.
