The sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia Women was rapid, with attacks from start to finish. The stage was won by Liane Lippert (Movistar) from a late race move of two, her first win since taking the sixth stage of the 2024 Giro.
Lippert's breakmate, Pauliena Rooijakkers (Fenix-Decuninck), took second on the stage, and Shirin van Anrooij (Lidl-Trek) rode into the finish alone to take third.
Behind, Lippert's teammate Marlen Reusser retained her overall lead ahead of Elisa Longo Borghini of UAE Team ADQ. The Italian champion tried to get the jump on Reusser on the hard stage six course, but she will have to wait until Saturday to try to make up the 16 seconds between them. Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx-Protime) held onto third overall, while Rooijakkers jumped to fourth overall, 2:02 behind Reusser.
