On Monday, Samuel Watson (Ineos Grenadiers) was hard at work in training, not expecting to start the Tour de Romandie this week. On Tuesday, he bested Ivo Oliveira (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) by 28 hundredths of a second to win the Romandie prologue in Switzerland.
The 23-year-old Brit thus took his first ever WorldTour victory at the end of a whirlwind 24 hours.
