The entries have now closed for the 2023 edition of the Mark Gunter Photo Awards (MGPA) and the judges have painstakingly worked through hundreds of submissions and chosen their top 10 favourite photos from the professional and amateur categories.

However, this doesn’t mean that the winners have been chosen. There is one more step.

Tomorrow, the judges will convene, go through a voting and scoring methodology that’s been well refined over the years, and choose the top three winners for each category.

We will announce the winners on January 27th where the professional placegetters will receive the MGPA medallions and perpetual trophy, and the amateur winners will get some fantastic prizes generously donated by Wahoo.

Thank you to all who entered the 2023 MGPA and we wish the finalists luck in the judging process!

For now, enjoy each of the judges’ shortlists.
