Quinn Simmons outsprints survived breakaway to nick Dauphiné stage 4

Wout van Aert was fastest from the denied peloton.

Lidl-Trek's Quinn Simmons won the sprint from the breakaway to win stage four of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, formerly known as the Critérium du Dauphiné.

A strong final effort from Movistar's Pablo Castrillo saw the escapees keep the onrushing peloton at bay, with Simmons finishing faster than Red Bull-Bora Hansgrohe's Finn-Fisher Black, the Kiwi having to settle for second place, while TotalEnergies' Mattéo Vercher was third.

I've never won a sprint before so that's kind of cool.
