What is Escape Collective?

We are building the best damn bike website on the planet. A website for you.

We are doing this because cycling connects us with others; it is our physical and mental escape. Cycling deserves beautiful photography and meaningful writing. It deserves media that’s built on trust between reader and author. It deserves to have fun, because bikes are fun.

We have a voice and responsibility to make cycling better, to hold those in power to account, and to educate and inform. We’ll provide coverage of important topics while also writing and recording things that put a smile on your face. We do not take the unserious seriously. We do take the serious seriously.

But to grow, we need you. Your membership has a superpower: it underpins a site built on journalistic freedom and independence. At Escape, you’re the boss.

Of course to understand what Escape Collective is and what we aspire to do, you need to understand where we came from. We invite you to learn more here.

“It’s just a fantastic website. I love the stories, not just the results. It is nice to stay up to date with the sport but not have the full-blown, blow-by-blow race breakdown.

– Richie Porte, Escape Collective member #1 –
