The Unchained Binge Podcast is back for season 2

The podcast companion to Netflix’s returning Tour de France series.

Netflix has this week dropped season 2 of its Tour de France docuseries, Unchained, produced under the same umbrella as the iconic Drive to Survive series on Formula 1, and their more recent additions Six Nations Full Contact, golf’s Full Swing and the tennis-themed Break Point. And with that, we’re bringing The Unchained Binge Podcast back for season 2.

Listen to the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, or simply search “Unchained Binge” wherever you get your podcasts. Please note that this podcast will not be added to our “Everything feed” past the first episode.

Last year’s first season covered the dramatic 2022 Tour at which Tadej Pogačar’s supremacy was cracked by Jonas Vingegaard and Jumbo-Visma, and was praised for its insight into the world of cycling and its biggest race. While there was some exaggeration and bombast that we honestly couldn’t remember from the race itself, the show provided a unique insight via a select number of involved teams, including Jumbo-Visma, EF Education-EasyPost, Soudal-Quick Step and Alpecin-Deceuninck.

Cycling fans were naturally excited to see their own sport portrayed like the hugely successful Drive to Survive had done for Formula 1, but it was the wider audience who were particularly enthused by Unchained, invited into a new sport via its most enchanting event.

This new season promises more drama, much more emotion and another brilliant race, and with UAE Team Emirates onboard, that central rivalry between Pogačar and Vingegaard is set to be far more engaging.

We’ll be doing eight episodes, one for each TV episode, in which we’ll go deep into the central themes, characters, the arcs that span the whole series, fill in the gaps, and provide our own insight into the show and the race based on what we saw on the ground. We might even dish out some awards.

Eight episodes starting now. Time to binge the 2023 Tour.
