Thömus opens waiting list for limited-run 32" World Cup XC bike
Following a headline-grabbing World Cup debut in Lenzerheide, Thömus has opened registrations for a limited pre-series of its new 32" cross-country race bike.
The Swiss brand's Lightrider R32 Worldcup became the first 32" bike to make a competitive appearance at the Whoop UCI Mountain Bike World Series, where Alessandra Keller rode the oversized-wheeled machine to third place in front of a home crowd. Keller and teammate Mathias Flückiger became the first riders to start a World Cup race aboard a 32-inch bike.
Capitalising on the attention generated by the project, Thömus has announced an initial production run of 50 bikes for riders eager to be among the first to try the larger wheel size.
Interested riders can now register through the brand's website to secure the right to place a future order, although registrations are non-binding and do not guarantee purchase.
