Uno-X's Charmig misses time cut

Uno-X Mobility's rollercoaster Tour de France continued Saturday with Anthon Charmig missing the time cut after he crossed the line nearly an hour behind stage winner Tadej Pogačar.

Charmig spent most of stage 11 in the breakaway but was a victim of the high-speed crash on stage 12 in the final sprint. Still nursing the injuries from that fall, Charmig was dropped on the first climb on stage 14. Despite likely knowing he was well outside the time cut of 40 minutes, he rode to the finish anyway. He's the second rider to miss the time limit after Jayco-AlUla's Kelland O'Brien on stage 4.

For Uno-X, it's the latest twist in an up-and-down Tour that has seen the team take the yellow jersey with Torstein Træen and then abruptly lose it to an aggressive UAE Team Emirates-XRG team and a crash for Træen, win a stage with Søren Wærenskjold and be a persistent force at the front of the race on breakaways and sprint finishes.
