Carapaz named Most Combative Rider of the 2026 Tour
Richard Carapaz will get to visit the podium on the Champs-Élysées twice after being named Most Combative Rider of the 2026 Tour de France, adding to his mountains classification title.
Carapaz won the overall combativity prize after a public vote over 10 riders – won by Mads Pedersen – was combined with the verdict of the race jury, rewarding his particularly determined stage-hunting and polka-dot campaign that has included four days in the breakaway and two stage wins in the third week.
