O'Connor reportedly set return to Decathlon
As L'Equipe reports, Ben O'Connor will sign with Decathlon-CMA CGM at the end of the year, which would mark a return for the Australian to the team where he spent four seasons before racing with Jayco-AlUla for the past two years.
In his last race with the team then called Decathlon-AG2R La Mondiale, O'Connor rode to second overall at the Vuelta a España. GC results have been harder to come by since his move to Jayco, though he did win a stage at last year's Tour de France. Meanwhile, Decathlon has seen a new GC star emerge in their ranks in the form of Paul Seixas. Should O'Connor indeed head back to Decathlon, the way the team utilizes him alongside Seixas will be a key storyline to follow as the Frenchman's career evolves. [L'Equipe]
