Summary: Stage 15 may have some lengthy stretches of flat in parts, but the climbs that punctuate the stage are not to be underestimated. Things start with the first-category Col de Peyresourde right from the flag drop and the next two climbs are very steep, which could make for a very long day for anyone dropped early. The Plateau de Beille finish will again see GC action.

Fantasy favorites: UAE is making it very hard to say whether the breakaway riders will stay clear in this Tour. On paper, the profile is a good one for the early move, with a climb right from the start that will help create a strong break – but UAE could still chase them down. It once again feels like a coin toss as to whether the break will stay clear. As such, Tadej Pogačar is a fitting stage favorite ahead of any other single rider with breakaway potential, with Jonas Vingegaard looking like the second best contender after Saturday’s performance. If you like the break’s chances, look to Richard Carapaz, Simon Yates, Romain Bardet, Guillaume Martin, and Felix Gall as potential stage winners.
