Narváez extends with UAE through 2029

On the heels of a spectacular run of successes, Jhonatan Narváez has extended his contract with UAE-Team Emirates XRG through 2029.

The 29-year-old Ecuadorian joined the team at the start of last season after five years with the Ineos Grenadiers and there had been rumors that he might return to the British WorldTour outfit when his two-year UAE deal was up, but he has instead decided to ride on with UAE for a further three seasons. The announcement comes after Narváez won three stages at the Giro d'Italia and then took the third stage of the Tour de Suisse, an all-the-more impressive stretch given that he broke several vertebrae at a Tour Down Under crash in January.
