Belgian WorldTeam Soudal-Quick Step has announced its new era as Soudal-Safety Jogger from 2027, as Oudenaarde-based personal protective equipment company Safety Jogger steps up to co-title status after five years with the team, and ending 24 years of title sponsorship for Quick-Step Floors.
Embracing the hallowed tradition of making a big announcement during a Tour de France rest day, Soudal got ahead of the curve with its big reveal on Monday morning, unveiling this "milestone partnership" through what the team calls "an adrenaline-fueled, Top Gun-style campaign video". Only, instead of Tom Cruise's Tomcat fighter jet, the video features a Safety Jogger-sponsored North American T-6 Texan, a WW2-era training plane used by a number of Air Forces including the USAAF and RAF – also known as a Harvard (by British Forces), or simply T-6.
