Vingegaard will have surgery for broken collarbone
After his crash and abrupt abandon on stage 15 of the 2026 Tour de France, Jonas Vingegaard will have surgery to repair his broken collarbone, his Visma-Lease a Bike team said in a statement.
Initially, Visma director Marc Reef said the team was still evaluating whether surgery was necessary, but, read the team statement, "due to the severity of the collarbone fracture, surgical intervention has been recommended and will be performed in the coming days."
