Wahoo accuses JetBlack (again) of copycat products

For the second time in three years, Wahoo Fitness is accusing Australian brand JetBlack of copying its smart trainer tech – and this time it's aiming to stop specific JetBlack trainers from coming into the United States.

In early December 2025, Wahoo filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission (ITC), a federal agency that deals with unfair trade involving imported goods. The case targets JetBlack's Victory direct-drive smart trainer, which Wahoo says infringes several of its patents – most crucially on electromagnetic resistance control – and which JetBlack is importing and selling in the United States in direct competition with the Kickr range.

An example from Wahoo's complaint against JetBlack.
