Giant and Liv launch Revolt and Devote gravel race bikes
Alongside new wheels and tires in its Cadex line, Giant and its sister brand Liv today introduced the refreshed Revolt and Devote Advanced SL gravel race bikes. We spotted the new Revolt at May's Unbound gravel race, but today marks the official debut of the new models in most markets (see below for details).
The Advanced SL is Giant and Liv's highest level frame, featuring its lightest carbon fiber layup. The new bikes very much fit the trend of aerodynamic-focused gravel race bikes, and Giant claims the new Revolt Advanced SL is 19 watts faster than its predecessor, when measured as a system with the new one-piece cockpit and GXR wheels and tires announced today as well. The bike is optimized around the 45 mm tires that it will come with but has clearance for tires up to 53 mm wide.

Geometry has also been changed for a more aero position, with a longer reach and lower stack. Seat tube angles also steepen a degree across the size range (XS-XL on the Revolt, XS-L on the Devote). Three complete builds are available for each model, starting at US$7,300 / €6,500 / £5,500 / AU$9,000 for the Advanced SL 2 and rising to US$12,000 / €10,000 / £10,000 / AU$14,000 for the Advanced SL 0. Framesets are also available in select markets.

Availability is the key question with the new bikes. Liv is not introducing the bikes in the UK market for now. And owing to the US Customs withhold-release order, none of the Advanced SL bikes will be available in the US for the time being. Giant did not have a timeframe for resolution of that regulatory issue. [Giant] [Liv]
