Santa Cruz htSQD team closes its doors

After half a decade, 2025 was the final season for the most successful team in gravel, raising questions around where Keegan Swenson's future lies.

Since its inception in 2021, Santa Cruz's premier gravel outfit htSQD has been one of the driving forces at the helm of US gravel racing. However, after five years at the front of the field, Santa Cruz has announced that 2025 was its final year.

When the team was initially formed, the landscape of gravel was more splintered than it is today. Although races like Unbound and Leadville were all established in their own rights, they were yet to be unified by an overruling series, with the Life Time Grand Prix emerging a year later in 2022.
