Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) bested Olav Kooij (Decathlon-CMA CGM) in the chaotic sprint finish of stage 11 of the Tour de France, where Wærenskjold went long and narrowly held on at the line in Nevers. Milan Fretin (Cofidis) was awarded third place after Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Premier Tech) was relegated for an irregular sprint.
The GC favorites finished safely in the bunch on the day, with Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) maintaining his overall lead.
