Set in one of Colorado's most picturesque mountain towns, SBT GRVL isn’t the sort of ride you turn up to the night before and leave immediately after finishing. Part bike race, part expo, and part festival, it's an event that builds over the course of a few days.
Since its first edition in 2019, SBT GRVL has quickly grown into one of the marquee gravel events on the US calendar, drawing around 3,000 riders each year, with trail runs, hill climbs, and even a toddler race all complementing the central rides. With so much going on, here is your handy guide to get the most out of the full SBT GRVL weekend.
What to expect from Steamboat Springs
Nestled in the Yampa Valley, Steamboat Springs straddles the Yampa River with mountains rising gradually around it. The town may be best known as a ski town, but in recent years it has leaned into its summer identity as a bike destination. Since 2018, it’s been designated by IMBA as a Silver-level Ride Centre.
