Zipp introduces new lower-price 404 S wheelset

More aero, less money. The all new Zipp 404 S is replacing the 303 S. According to Zipp, the new 404 S saves an average of two watts across regular road conditions. The 50 mm deep front and rear rims each have 23 mm internal widths and are designed around 29-38 mm tires.

The new 404 S weighs in at 1,585 g, which is 55 g more than the outgoing 45 mm 303S. There are two logo color options, dark grey and white, as well as two free hub options, XDR and SRAM 10/11 spd (aka Shimano HG+).

Pricing is as follows: US$1,300 | €1,200 | £985, which is US$170 down from the 303 S.
