Visma needs a new bus after AC fails
As L'Equipe reports, Visma-Lease a Bike's Tour de France squad rode their bikes from their hotel in Carcassonne to the start of stage 4 under police escort rather than taking the team bus, whose air conditioning broke down on Monday night.
With the daytime high temperatures reaching up over 37°C (100°F) around Carcassonne, AC units have been working overtime for Tour teams, and the effort evidently proved too much for the cooling system on Visma's bus. A Visma staffer is now driving a replacement down to southern France from the team headquarters in the Netherlands. [L'Equipe]
