Wolf Tooth adds second-tier Performance pedal range

Wolf Tooth adds second-tier Performance pedal range

First done with its headsets, Wolf Tooth is now trickling down a couple of its pedal models to a lower-cost “Performance” range. To begin, it’s the Waveform platform pedal and CTRL SPD pedal getting the second price option.

Compared to Wolf Tooth’s original USA-made CTRL pedal, the new Performance version is assembled with components made overseas. It features a forged pedal body, plus chrome-plated chromoly axle and binding hardware. The stack height is marginally taller (16 versus 15 mm), it's a little heavier (370 versus 326 grams), and it loses the adjustable Q-factor functionality.

Review: Wolf Tooth’s SPD-compatible pedals with adjustable spindle widths
SPD-compatible pedals are a dime a dozen, but early impressions show Wolf Tooth’s entry into the space is well justified.

Those changes bring the price down to US$160, a US$80 saving over the standard CTRL pedal. It is, however, available in more colours: orange, gold, red, raw silver, and black.
